There is something about safari life that makes you forget all your sorrows and feel as if you had drunk half a bottle of champagne — bubbling over with heartfelt gratitude for being alive.
When kenya tourism Board Invited me on trip to North Rift I was glad for the programme was slow not a hasten itinerary passing through destinations. It only meant we would have more interactions and experiences. I was excited and so were my fellow domestic tourism ambassadors. You see for us we love our country and this love has turned our passion into profit.
The journey to Lake bogoria is a cocktail of vegetation from Lush green forests of Kiambu and Nakuru County to dry rugged terrrains of Baringo county.
its not my first time on this route you can check my previous blog but it sure is a new experience beyond lake Baringo.
In the image am at Lake Baringo looking at Parmalok Island and one lucky man owns it we were told he lives there with his five wives and over twenty kids,he has herds of cows that have been trained to swim so they can swim out to the market when he wants to sell some…. And I wished we had gotten there earlier before the heat was too much and we would have reached this kingdom and know how he manages it yet our brothers back home got one wife and kingdoms keep scattering .. hahaha..
While still in Baringo our guide Mr.William kimosop told us about the maa tribe of this area.. The Ilchamus!
Ever visited a place, or met someone etc and fell in love with their name? ILCHAMUS , the name itself felt soo awesome, of course mine comes in with a twang lol..
